OSRS is always such an unsettling puzzle for OSRS Gold me. I've played it since the age of a child (I'm 28 at the moment, for reference) and can say I've never maxed a single level in the game, answered all the questions, or even done this much bossing. I've fought bosses that weren't restricted by strict requirements such as Kalphite, KBD, Barrows and many others, but I've never gone on a God Wars Dungeon trip, even less Zulrah and the rest. A lot of times when I'm playing, I'm performing some random skill that I'm tempted to do and then I'll get a certain percentage of an level, and then turn off.
It doesn't matter how many accounts I've had, no matter what type of account I've never been successful and went through massive waves of energy, then months of abandonment before playing a month and dropping the game completely. Literally last month I logged into an account I had not played on in nearly five years.
The grind is this game's most appealing feature and a the biggest drawback in my opinion. As one commenter already said the thrill of progressing to the next gear level is so satisfying, however that feeling in turn ruined the community IMO. Because the majority of players base are now in their 30s, or their 20s decades of dedication to the community has had an impact on the game, where nearly everything is optimized. Minigames in the majority of cases are demanded, but never played unless they contribute to the leveling of a ability. Every single activity is geared towards getting to the next stage, and can result in an unpleasant experience when you're not feeling the need to grind particularly after a tiring day of work.
The gameplay mechanics are (for the majority of the time except for glitches and tick manipulation) fairly straightforward, and the community will inform you precisely the steps to take to get where you'd like to be, but how long are you willing to go to there? Personally I use games to unwind, or play with friends and so my tolerance for grinding is low. I'm no content creator, I don't do PVP therefore why should I put hours of time in a grind while I can be enjoying a better "fun game"?
OSRS has some positive aspects, but the fact that it is a step away from "fun" and further embracing grindy mentality makes it challenging for me dedicate myself to learning the terms. I do return once or twice a year for a dose of aimless leveling before dipping out. Today, I'm playing the leagues mode, which buy RS gold has greatly reduced the time needed to complete the higher level content. This has greatly improved the game experience IMHO.
