At an estimate of $1.628 billion in revenue, Riot Games' MOBA is ahead of the market by a large margin. Three other games on SuperData's charts exceeded $1 billion in revenue from digital during this year.

Two of them are on PC which are popular and popular in Asia (CrossFire as well as Dungeon Fighter Online) and one for the mobile platform (Clash of Clans). SuperData states it that League of Legends closed out this year with the highest-earning month in history.

World of Warcraft came in ranked number 4 on PC charts, earning an estimated $814 million of digital revenue during the year. It was just one of the Activision Blizzard games that were on the charts that topped the charts, with World of Warcraft : Advanced Warfare dominating the charts for consoles ($355 million), Destiny at number four ($291 million) and World of Warcraft (released in November) at the top of the list ($212 million).

In reality the charts for consoles were almost exclusively dominated by Activision and Electronic Arts (with FIFA, Madden along with Star Wars Battlefront). The only exceptions were Bethesda and Take-Two were able to get into the top spot due to World of Warcraft and Grand Theft Auto V respectively. Activision was the highest-grossing online publisher for buy WOW TBC Classic Gold the entire year.
