Hyperloop is a concept for a sealed tube or system of tubes that would transport passenger and cargo pods at airline speeds using magnetic levitation (maglev) and low-pressure environments. The concept was announced by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk in 2013 and has since generated significant buzz in the transportation industry. How the Hyperloop Train Works


The key to Hyperloop Train is low air pressure within an enclosed tube or tunnel. Pods carrying passengers and cargo would travel through the tubes thanks to magnetic levitation and propulsion via a series of electric fans located along the tunnel. This low-pressure environment reduces air resistance and allows the pods to reach unprecedented speeds. Each pod would have its own electric propulsion via a small electric skis located at the front and rear of the capsule. Maglev would lift the pod above the track using magnetic force and ensure a near frictionless ride.

Pods would ferry both people and freight through the Hyperloop network and are designed for comfort, safety and high-speed travel. The pod interior would feature reclining seats and displays providing Wi-Fi connectivity and entertainment. Large windows would offer panoramic views of the passing landscape. Carbon fiber skin and an advanced suspension system are designed to withstand changes in air pressure during travel. In the event of emergencies, each passenger capsule would act as its own evacuation module by detaching from the overall system.
