Snow has blanketed the islands of the Northern Hemisphere in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, creating a winter wonderland. The change in scenery can only mean one thing: it's time to start working on some snowfolk. The Nintendo game, which draws inspiration from real-life snowman-building traditions, allows players to construct one snowman per day. While getting a perfect snowboy is the ultimate goal, it's not always as simple as it sounds. If one snowball is even a tenth of an inch too small, it will not be counted. Here are some pointers to follow to ensure that you always get a perfect snowboy in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

In the game 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons,' what makes a perfect snowboy?
During the months of December and February, you can find two snowballs on your island every day, which you can use to construct a snowboy. But, after all, nobody is perfect, so why should the snowman be any different? Technically, you are free to roll the snowballs to whatever size you want without incurring any penalties, but getting them just right will result in bonuses.

The sentient creation will reward you with a Frozen DIY and a Large Snowflake, which you can use to make the recipe for every perfect snowboy you create. After that, he'll give one Large Snowflake per day until he's completely melted out of existence. Small snowflakes can also be caught falling from the sky, which can be caught in addition to conversing with the snowboy. There are several recipes that incorporate snowflakes from the Frozen series, as well as some other snow-related recipes.

However, one new recipe was added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 2.0, which makes the total number of Frozen DIY recipes available in 2021 the same as in 2020. According to Animal Crossing World, the following is the complete list of Frozen-themed DIYs from snowboys:

How to create the perfect snowboy by using your villager as a model
One common method of ensuring that you build a perfect snowboy is to use your villager from Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a height guide while building it. Using your first ball, roll animal crossing items for sale around in the snow until it reaches the largest size it can reach. Roll the second snowball until it is about halfway down your villager's ear.

To check the proportions, you can change the camera angle to a head-on view of your villager standing beside the snowball, as shown below. If you believe you have reached the proper height, simply roll the second snowball up to the first, and they will automatically stack.

Despite the fact that many players have found success with this method, visualizing the proportions can be difficult. After a little practice, you should be able to judge the appropriate height by sight alone.

How to make a perfect snowboy by following the paths in 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons'

Players have discovered a new method that they believe will have a higher success rate. This one involves the creation of paths or custom ground designs. It's best to create a large, open space to ensure that you have enough space to work, so clear away any clutter or plants/weeds.

You'll roll your first snowball until it's as big as animal crossing items for sale possibly can be, similar to the villager method. Create a series of 10 dirt/tile paths or custom designs next to the snowball to help it stand out from the crowd. Essentially, you'll need a long stretch of land that isn't covered in snow. After that, find your second snowball and roll it as big as you possibly can until Animal Crossing Items (please see) is no longer a snowball. It should be rolled to the other side of the pathway strip. Roll  down the strip, in the direction of the first snowball, until it is completely buried. As a result, the snowball will begin to shrink back down. By the time you get to the other end, your second snowball should be the perfect size to make a perfect snowboy out of the first.

The proper procedure to follow if you break snowballs or roll too much
The fragility of snowballs means that if you accidentally roll them into something, they will break. If they fall into water, they will also vanish from sight. If this occurs, you will still be able to complete your daily snowboy routine! Simply entering a building will cause the snowballs to reappear, though they will most likely be in a different location than where you found them the first time.
