Sophie, a Learning Support Officer, and Simon, an Engineer, were married around 27 May 2018. Their ceremony occurred at the local village church near Sophie's parents and then at a reception in the stunning, near Barry, South Wales.

"We always knew the only thing that mattered to us was for the day to become relaxed, colorful, and fun, so knew from the beginning that we would certainly go with what felt true to us like a couple. I am enthusiastic about the beauty of late springtime and thus a May wedding was an ideal choice for us."

Together using the lovely flower crown, Sophie's sweet flower girls wore vintage white lace flower girl dresses. The bridesmaids wore elegant satin dresses in petrol blue with shoes and gold necklaces of their choice. On the morning of the marriage, Sophie gifted them each gold bracelet engraved using their initials.

Sophie chose an ideal gown, which she purchased in Cardiff, and also the silhouette reminds me of the beautiful Belle Époque gowns from the Edwardian era.

"I didn't have set ideas of the items I wanted when I went searching for my dress, and I had plenty of fun just trying plenty of different styles. As soon as I tried my dress on I realized it had a lot of elements that I loved all combined into one dress: just a little lace, the littlest hint of sparkle, from the shoulder, button-up back, and, on top of that, a detachable train! It was classic yet different, that is just what I was after."

The wedding party walked the short distance from Sophie's parents' house and around the corner to their village church for that ceremony. Sophie chose an instrumental version of the song Here Comes The Sun just to walk into, which seemed a much more apt choice once the sun started to shine through the rain clouds around the day. Go

Sophie and Simon are childhood sweethearts, meeting in school in 1999, and also have been together for 19 years.

"We always knew we desired to get married sooner or later, coupled with talking about it a great deal, therefore it was more dependent on when not as we would get round into it! Simon proposed on Christmas Eve 2016 having a beautiful antique ring hidden with a Haribo ring- the very best of all possible worlds!"

Simon wore a blue three-piece suit inside a smart, classic check pattern from having a polka dot tie.

On hand to capture these lovely moments were photographer and videographer.

"Lewis is only the loveliest guy, very easy to get on with, and that he put us comfortable the moment we met him. The images he creates are simply stunning, capturing the real feel of the day, and you will tell Lewis loves what he does for a living. After photographing my sister's and today our wedding, he feels as though more of a buddy than someone we hired! We would recommend him to anyone."

"Steve is yet another absolutely lovely person, and it has produced the most amazing film we're able to have ever imagined. When I first watched the highlights I sobbed throughout, as Steve just captured every detail and all the happiness! He is a complete genius. Again, we'd recommend him inside a heartbeat."

"I made our cake! After making my sister's three-tiered naked cake in September I knew I desired to do ours too. It would be a four-tiered lemon drizzle cake with lemon buttercream and fresh edible flowers grown on our allotment. Mum and I spent a few hours icing and boxing up cakes 2 days beforehand, and she or he and my sister added the flowers in situ at the last minute to prevent the flowers from wilting."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Try to bear in mind what matters- creating a lifelong commitment towards the person you like most and making memories (in rain or sunshine!) with your loved ones in one location. None will notice small things that go 'wrong', they're just there to benefit from the day and celebrate along with you!"
