I'm also really struck by the wonderful images captured by the couple's photographer, too – making exquisite use of the dramatic autumn light at the time. Let's meet our couple then and obtain started! Amy, a freelance research analyst, and Tom, a merchant account manager, were married around the 24 September, which also happens to become Amy's birthday!
They celebrated their day in rural Oxfordshire. When the couple first saw the venue, it blew them, and Amy was raised in the county, therefore it felt fitting to become married there, too.
Amy's a line wedding dresses would be romantic, soft chiffon, the 1920s-inspired design, with a stylish dropped waist, along with a ruffled neckline, with just an indication of sparkle. Amy discovered her beautiful gown at a London boutique.
"My dress and jewelry were vintage in feel and look, and also the dress, though new, would be a nod towards the 1920s. I felt much like me, and also the dress was built with a flowing, angelic feel."
Tom looked smart inside a navy blue suit, combined with a classic white shirt, and burgundy tie, that they wore with brogues and mother-of-pearl cufflinks.
Amy was accompanied on the aisle by her mum, and also the ceremony was conducted by a member of the family, Mark Walters.
"We met at the office, and were engaged annually later, and married annually after that. We met in Scotland doing the Three Peaks Challenge with us, raising money for that Prince's Trust."
These are such touching images from Amy and Tom's ceremony, capturing all the beautiful moments shared, by the artwork photographer, who did an amazing job throughout the whole day.
Alongside their vows, Amy and Tom also decided to give one another ring, chosen in London.
"Our rings were all vintage. My rings were Edwardian and Georgian antiques, chosen together before our engagement." Go
Following the ceremony, plenty of pretty and colorful dried flower petal confetti was thrown, whilst drinks and delicious canapes were enjoyed outside around the lawn, with live music from – a nearby band, and friends of Amy's mum.
Amy made her bridesmaids a Pinterest mood board having a soft and muted autumnal color pattern with which to inspire them, plus they chose their very own dresses accordingly. I love all of the textures within the different chiffon, lace, and embellishment.
The bridesmaids wore freshly picked flowers in their hair, and along with Amy, they carried magnificent, wild, and natural bouquets.
Amy and Tom's lovely color pattern, reflecting the faded beauty of the season, is proven to spectacular effect on these flowers, with berries and grasses, meadow blooms, and greenery, alongside a range of roses.
"They were all organically grown flowers in Oxfordshire. They do an excellent 'buckets and bouquets' deal, in which you have your bouquets tied by them, but choose your flowers for tables, etc. per week before plus they mix and match them."
Amy and Tom made their very own on-the-day stationery, using stamps, including a table plan in the vintage style frame, with pressed flowers, and put settings stamped onto luggage tags.
The timber beams from the restored Lains Barn were beautifully decorated, with twinkling fairy lights, flowing drapery hanging in the ceiling and on the walls, and plenty of fresh flowers.
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"I wanted everything to feel real, natural, and authentic – not overly glamorous, as we're a relaxed couple, and that we wanted individuals to relax and become themselves at the time."
