Now, the developer has set its sights on the world of Gielinor as well as RS Gold with plans to launch both a board game as well as a core book for the tabletop RPG this year. The two RPG versions will include many of RuneScape's top characters and places, allowing groups with up to five players to play classic quests found in RuneScape and bring the adventures within the world of Gielinor to the home of Gielinor.

Players will be able to design and upgrade their equipment, play with NPCs and undertake various side quests inspired of the original MMORPG. The board game will debut by means of the launch of a Kickstarter campaign later in the year while the core tabletop RPG book is expected to debut in stores.

The book that is the core for tabletop RPGs is expected to be compatible with massive tabletop RPG Dungeons and Dragons the fifth edition of the core books, allowing dungeon kings to seamlessly integrate elements from RuneScape into their games.

Jagex Chief Executive Officer Phil Mansell was optimistic about the project expressing his enthusiasm over it. Kickstarter initiative "involving those from RuneScape players," and Steamforged CCO Mat Hart believed the "rich RuneScape universe" will translate beautifully" to a tabletop game.

RuneScape has been growing significantly since its initial browser-based launch in recent times, with Steamforged's board game as the most recent effort from Jagex. In an interview, numerous Jagex employees discussed transitioning Runescape's mobile version to an app that runs across platforms and in September of last year, a cross-platform release.

Jagex joined forces with the developer of popular Old School RuneScape mod RuneLite HD to make the HD version accessible to all players. Steamforged's board game is set to give the passionate fans of RuneScape an additional way to experience all the adventures of Gielinor and design their own adventures.

Runescape developer Jagex's publishing wing has picked up a promising indie release for their Jagex Partners label, making Melvor Idle an independent not anymore. The idler game, which is similar to games like Clicker Heroes or Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, launched on Steam in the year before and wears its influence from Jagex's flagship game Runescape very proudly.

Melvor Idle is a detailed multi-track idle video game that attempts to redefine "the core components from the RuneScape franchise in a way that they can be enjoyed without a lot of effort," says the publisher. It's a very rich in features, an idle game with a variety of items to develop and develop, as well as an emphasis on zero prestige mechanics requiring a game restart.

Jagex evidently became aware of the project around the beginning of 2020. It is believed that a significant portion of their staff members were fans of it after the debut Steam launch in the month of October the same year. As it is obvious that the developer is satisfied to have a connection with the makers of one of their top games wit RS3 Gold. "Being being able to work directly on this with Jagex direct on this project has been a dream of a lifetime," said Brendan Malcolm who is the sole creator who is behind Melvor Idle studio Games by Malcs.
