Lydia, a Marketing Manager for Premium Country Pubs, and Jon, a Project Manager employed in restaurant and bar design, were married around the 28 July at All Saints Church in Clive, Shropshire, then a reception in the beautiful and historic oak-beamed.
Over the crepe skirt, Lydia also wore an overskirt of delicate, floral motif lace, custom-made by Karina at Rachel Ash Bridalwear.
Lydia's bridesmaids looked lovely in ballet pink bridesmaid dresses of various designs, in the 'Core' collection, that they wore with shoes and jewelry.
For the marriage flowers, Lydia wanted an all-natural, contemporary look, and the florist worked wonders, with Lydia and her bridesmaids' bouquets full of white David Austin and spray roses, lisianthus, phlox, veronica, and striking fern leaves and eucalyptus.
Jonathan looked smart and sharp inside a bespoke tuxedo, that they wore using the Elsa Peretti Bean cufflinks gifted to him by Lydia. Not to be outdone, the couple's gorgeous bulldog, Winston, wore their black-tie (harness!).
"I am in the first year of sixth form girls to become listed on the boys boarding school Jon attended. Although he'd left through the time I joined, we'd lots of mutual friends, however, it wasn't until 2009, after university, whenever we bumped into each other inside a local pub that people hit them back. Six years later, on Christmas Day visiting our friends in Margaret River, Australia, Jon popped the question around the beach to my complete surprise. I never thought he'd do it! We saved and planned the marriage for 2 ½ years later."
During the signing from the register, Echo Strings played Halo, by Beyonce, and Young Forever, by Jay Z, which was a brilliant reminder for that couple of seeing them reside in concert, with friends, in Paris. As they walked to support the aisle together newly married, the string quartet played Brown Eyed Girl, by Van Morrison. Go
"The ceremony was available online as our favorite part. It felt enjoy it was just us, our gorgeous bulldog Winston (our ring bearer) was there watching, everything joined together perfectly, also it was truly special and felt so personal. We loved that people put our very own spin around the ceremony, and we're so glad we put a lot of thought into deciding on the music."
One of Lydia's bridesmaids created an incredible green and white flower wall installation, whilst Lydia's dad designed a fire pit, that they laser cut with Lydia and Jonathan's names, and also the date from the wedding.
"We wanted to put an individual touch on our drinks during the day. We chose wines and Champagne from vineyards we'd visited all over the world, making neck tags on their behalf with photos on our trips with family and friends."
"Choosing a photographer was probably one of the hardest decisions within the whole wedding ceremony planning process. We were recommended to Nigel by The Twins, who have been fully booked. At the time, he was relatively recent to wedding photography, but from what we'd seen was incredibly talented. After a Skype session, we knew he was super laid back and thus friendly."
"We were truly blown away through the memories captured, we didn't need to give him any direction and forgot he was there. Don't rush, request recommendations using their company photographers if they're booked."
Back within the barn, as well as on a dancefloor full of sparkly gold confetti, Lydia and Jonathan danced and spun for their first dance song, was Ray LaMontagne's You Are The Best Thing, then a version of Thrift Shop by Macklemore, played by their evening entertainment.
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"Remember that the guests would like to be fed, watered, and entertained. Spend your financial allowance wisely there and everyone is going to be sure to have an incredible day. Then invest time into the things that matter most for you both; whether that's music, activities, speeches, etc., it's likely only you will spot the small details, so allow it to be count in which you care. Take time researching and invest inside a great photographer like a priority, it's smart to back 10 times when you take a seat to look and go back over all your effort."
