Primo Geovishap is recognized as one of the hardest bosses hanging around — here's how you can beat him.

The Primo Geovishap is a boss introduced in version 1.4 of Genshin Impact. He was the very first boss of his type released and is recognized as being among the most difficult battles hanging around. You can't just depend on running along with a strong DPS to subdue this boss. In addition, should you pull Hu Tao and Xiao, you have to beat the Primo Geovishap many times to fully ascend their characters.

While this might seem like an extremely inconvenient task in the beginning, the Primo Geovishap is pretty simple to handle once you begin to know his glaring weak spot.

Primo Geovishap Prep

Primo Geovishap is a pretty annoying boss, especially the very first time you fight him. Like with other bosses, make sure that you have dishes cooked that may help you out in battle. If this is your first few times fighting him, odds are the fight is a bit long, so make sure to create a few extra buff dishes.

Once you're able to the actual boss, don't jump lower to attack him. You are going to wish to observe him and find out what element he currently is applying.

The Primo Geovishap could be hydro, electro, pyro, or cryo. To know which element he is applying, take a look at his scales. You will wish to build your party for this element. The most important thing to consider, though, is you need a shield user inside your party. Zhongli and Noelle are the most useful picks in this fight, but Diona, Xinyan, and Beidou go for the job done all right.

Primo Geovishap Moves

The Primo Geovishap includes a mix of both close-range and long-range attacks. When you are near to the boss, he'll attempt to claw at you after which slams himself into the ground to cause a little AoE. These are pretty simple to deal with when you are going to wish to mostly use ranged attacks when fighting this boss. He also includes a tail swipe that you'll want to watch out for, particularly when trying to hit from behind.

The Primo Geovishap also offers the ability to perform a close-range elemental breath attack. This includes a longer range than his claw or tail swipe attack and does a sizable chunk of harm. When you are a long way away from the boss, he'll launch spine and tail missiles. The spine missiles simply fire out and explode. The tail missiles will fire after which stick into the ground for a short bit before exploding with elemental damage. Avoid these by staying out of the strike zone and moving away in the tail strikes.

His final normal move is digging underground when you are a long way away and charging in your direction. This attack lets him get extremely near to your character; to prevent it, just keep sprinting from him while he's emerging on the earth.

The Primo Geovishap comes with an ultimate attack that he'll perform many times throughout your fight called Primordial Shower. This is both a great and very bad thing and also the game will invariably warn you to activate your shield before the attack. If you don't, you'll take a massive amount of harm, and it will have a significant amount of your time to take on the Primo Geovishap's massive health bar.
