It's the second straight year that 2K was unable to choose between two giants often regarded as the top centers in the world NBA 2K23 MT. Last year the two received 95 percent ratings in 2K22.I find myself eating from Ronnie 2K's hands at present. But after all, we're in the midst of offseason. With Kevin Durant pressing pause on the Brooklyn Nets' doomsday device just a few weeks ago so what else do we have to talk about?
If it's Madden, NHL, FIFA, MLB the Show, or any other major sport league video game, the publication of the ratings for each player creates heated debates. If you are able to publicly rate all players in a particular group, it's normal to receive a few screaming fans, scorned rivals and feelings of snubbery.
The athletes themselves are even speaking about their ratings occasionally in order to bring the debate to a higher level. Durant did so earlier this week, along with an old teammate of Klay Thompson. Both players were unhappy with their latest scores to be honest to say the least. It's my personal belief that game designers do this to manipulate the game. They make ratings that are just controversial enough to stir the pot without damaging the integrity of the game. While doing so, they stimulate discussion about their newest game, hoping that more people will buy it.
For that reason, I feel like I'm doing exactly as the people in NBA 2K want right now. But again, what else can we talk about? Whatever their motivations, the NBA 2K team released its newest game with its player ratings attached to it this week, including everyone on Brooklyn's 2022-23 roster. Likely Cheap MT 2K23, some rating of their players appeared slightly off---even in a way that was disrespectful.
