On the other hand, the features EA pointed out FIFA 23 Coins in its pre-release announcements, like collision physics and deflections look and feel the same as last year. Although the weight of players is increasing for the better but players are still crashing into each other and produce unrealistic collisions, especially with how often they keep their finger hovering over the button to sprint.
Many of the latest deflections made by an extended foot or leg are only visible on replay, and the few replays I've seen -- especially those of the power variant may cause some very painful injuries. Deflections and 50-50s are still favored by the AI particularly as you become accustomed for the new body models and what they mean when it comes to speed.
HyperMotion, realistic physics and HyperMotion just don't work. There's still too much moving and sliding which obstruct the real outcomes. Sliders like OS Community Sliders aid in slowing the game down and make it more realistic, however they're only able to do what they can when it comes to Physics.
In today's deep dive, I'll take a look at the new gameplay features that are available within FIFA 23 to share my impressions on which ones have an impact on the game, what impact (negative and positive) they can have and if they have need for improvement.
For a list of all the new features, let's refer to the EA FIFA 23 site. In grading FIFA 23, we'll use the simple 1-5 scale, with 5 being "great feature" in comparison to 1 which is "why did EA even bother with cheap FUT 23 Coins this feature?"
